"CHANGES TO RULES (effective immediately):

    Anyone under the age of 55 will not be able to respond to shakedown posts or deep dives. These are features sacred to BPL culture. The Millennial crowd who frequent /r/Ultralight will not be invited to participate in these threads.

    Anyone who makes less than $100K a year will have a 5% surcharge on their membership fees.

    In addition to an active Tier 2 membership, you must submit a link to your lighterpack in order to be a verified commenter.

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP DUES: In order to provide a high quality forum experience, BPL will be implementing a tiered membership program. The details are below:

    Tier 1: $5 / month - Gives you read only access to the weekly thread and wiki page.

    Tier 2: $10 / month - Gives you all of the above plus the ability to post shakedown requests and comment on other posts (including the wiki). As an added value, you may also post to /r/ULgeartrade.

    Tier 3: $20 / month - Gives you all of the above plus the ability to use the words: “weight”, “DCF”, “lighterpack”, “grams”, “ounces”, “Costco”, “Pa’lante”, “backpacking’” and “sale” in comments and posts."
